Taller rear fences, lower solid front fences
King allows rear yard fences up to 2.44 m (8 ft), taller than most of the GTA. Front yards are the opposite: a solid fence is limited to 0.92 m (3 ft), so front fences are usually open styles like aluminum or split rail.
Decks near regulated natural areas may need Lake Simcoe Region or Toronto and Region conservation authority approval. We check before we design.
