Taller boundary fences, lower front fences
Oshawa allows boundary fences up to 2.2 m near rear and side lot lines, taller than many GTA cities. Front yards are the opposite at 0.9 m.
Pool fences must be at least 1.5 m. For properties near flood plains, fill-regulated areas or creeks, the City directs owners to the Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority.
